Fuddland

my thanks to phil who became the first person ever to use the bugblog submission form to tell me about a problem with fuddland’s display.

the problem came about when the text size was set to its smallest in internet explorer – the width of the ‘moblog latest’ photo was too much for the sidebar and pushed the whole thing into the rest of the page to the left.

solution: made sidebar wider!

i also altered my .htaccess rewrite rule so that people using opera in IE mode, as phil was, still get sent the proper [non-fixed-width] stylesheet:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^.*MSIE.*$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !^.*Opera.*$
RewriteRule styles-site.CSS$ http://fuddland.org.uk/blog/styles-site-ie6.css

there still seems to be a problem with my display in ie  —  as the side bar is now appearing slightly over the entire right side of the main text.

sorry dude, looks like something’s still wonky.
