Fuddland

I brought back some nice calming lavender-scented incense from Chēngdu (成都), and I’ve just noticed that on the package it says, in English,

Ingredients: lavender oil, cedar wood, etc.

“Etc.”?

When I was living in London last year, my doctor at the NHS suggested I use lavender products to help alleviate my anxiety. I bought some lavender aromatherapy from Neal’s Yard. I don’t think it calmed me down (Valium would have been required for that), but it smelled nice. And really, that’s all that matters.

I think etc. is a very tasty ingredient, I always use it when seasoning my mince ;)
