Fuddland
A relatively painless move last weekend found me in my new [temporary] home, and it’s a lot nicer than my last place! Proper heating throughout [as opposed to a single electric radiator], comfy sofas [as opposed to hard wooden ones], and lots of light.
My new roommates seem ideal: quiet, considerate, and two of them don’t so much talk as purr softly from time to time. Yes, in a mutually-beneficial arrangement, I’ll be cat-sitting here over the Christmas week whilst their owner goes on holiday. I’ve missed my own feline friend so it’s nice to have a couple of cats around again.

Re #1: Work! It’s just a normal day here, so no day off for me. :( But we’re planning on cooking as close to a traditional Christmas dinner as we can manage — if we can’t locate a turkey, the biggest chicken we can find will have to suffice.

Re #4: Yeah, in the cities it is. Drinking the tap water isn’t advised [but it’s been fine for cooking and washing fruit etc.].
