A plate of bamboo-leaf-wrapped zongzi

Due to being stuck on a train between cities, I unfortunately missed nearly all the fun of the annual Dragon-Boat Festival, held on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. However, I did get to sample some zòngzi: sticky, gooey rice wrapped in bamboo leaves — simply unwrap, dip in sugar or your favourite sauce, and eat.
