Many, many congratulations my friend. I hope that you will partake of much celebrating tonight. Welcome to the club, wipe your feet on the way in…

Hip, hip, hooray!
Congratulations, David. Er…Dr. David, that is.
felicity | 2005 / 12 / 16 – 17:02

Richard | 2005 / 12 / 16 – 22:45
Well done! Does this mean you are now to be known as … The Doctor.
clair | 2005 / 12 / 16 – 23:55

Congragulations again dph phd.
Hang about, did you moblog this from the pub?
David | 2005 / 12 / 17 – 14:29
Thanks everyone, I’m dead pleased! I’m even willing to forgive Clair for calling me Dave—just this once though. :P
Re #7: No, I snuck onto a spare PC in my old office just before we went to the pub. :)

Well so will fuddland remain fuddland?
I only ask since I offer a suggestion for an alternative name:
Dr Dave’s Digital Diary

Re #9: It’s a question that’s been asked of me by others recently, and I’ve not yet decided on the definitive answer. However, I do have a one-word response [albeit repeated six times] to your alternative suggestion: no, no, no, no, no, no! :P
Kav | 2005 / 12 / 18 – 00:41
Just so we are clear, that means you’ll think about it, yes?
Lucky | 2005 / 12 / 18 – 15:05
Hooray! You’ve got your D!
Dina | 2005 / 12 / 18 – 16:52
Congratulations, David, that’s an awesome accomplishment & you have my complete & utter respect. Considering the trouble I had just with introductory Statistics. (Though I did end up with an A after all!) It must feel great to have achieved it. :-) And does this mean that other people @ the school are going to stop bothering you for Statistics tutoring, too?
David | 2005 / 12 / 19 – 17:43
Re #11: I’ll give it precisely the opposite amount of thought that I gave my viva preparation.
Re #13 [and #12]: Thanks! :) I really hope this means an end to teaching statistics—towards the end the thought of never having to do that again was all that was motivating me. ;)

You know I never really took to that Eccleston bloke and that other waspish fella was clearly just a flash in the pan.
Congratulations, mate. Can you get me a signed pair of Billie Piper’s smalls?
