Huge table and chair outdoor art installation

Taking a stroll on Parliament Hill.

Update: This is the thity-feet-tall sculpture The Writer by Giancarlo Neri, currently installed on Parliament Hill. Despite it being really rather large, I had a bit of a struggle finding it, but that might have been more to do with me starting on the north-west side of Hampstead Heath [as it’s just a short bus ride from my house] and walking across the park over a couple of hours [big park, sunny day, lots of benches to sit on along the way] in the general direction of Parliament Hill, which occupies the south-east quadrant of the park, until I found Mr Neri’s work.

As you approach it from a hilltop, you can see the top of the table, which now features a football and a can of beer that I don’t think were part of the original design. And I’m sure the artist will be happy to hear that one of his local contempories has taken upon himself to improve things with a little graffito on one of the legs.

You can see about The Writer at BBC Collective, and more of my photos of it in my Flickr photoset.
