Fuddland
I’m now the proud owner of the rather spiffy Kodak DX7630 which, amongst its many features, allows you to control the shutter speed — with exposures from one thousandth of a second long all the way up to sixty-four seconds, making it easy to take nice twinkly pictures of Christmas Trees.
But of course what long shutter delays are really designed for is to take ghostly images to freak out those who believe in such things:
[Technical notes: set the aperture to remain open for eight seconds, rest camera on table, stand behind camera and press the shutter, wait for four seconds, then peg it down the end of the garden and sit very still on the bench.]

Lovely Christmas tree and yes, the ghosting is very effective. Shudder.

very cool :)
I have a photo my brother took in our backyard, with him flashing a portable flashgun at himself at all different points around the backyard, so there’s half a dozen images of him all over .. very funny :)
