Fuddland
According to the sticker on the side, this is the “focal plane camera” for the Swift Gamma Ray Burst Explorer, which “will carry three instruments to enable the most detailed observations of gamma ray bursts to date”.
And where was this box containing sensitive equipment destined to be sent into orbit around the Earth? Stuck out in the corridor just outside my office all day long—providing a handy seat for the contractors working on the server room next door.

Maybe it’s just me but I wouldn’t sit on anything with the phrase “Gamma Ray Burst Explorer” on it.
