In case you were unsure, the rhythm and emphases to use when saying the URL of Google’s new Froogle UK site are exactly the same as the second line from the fourth stanza of W.H. Auden’s classic poem “Night Mail”:
Letters of joy from the girl and the boyFroogle dot Google dot co dot U K

I love noticing things like this. Ever since a further maths lesson a couple of years ago, when we were doing… um… something to do with centripetal acceleration, or orbital velocity, or something similar.
My teacher was reading out what she was writing on the board, and started: “v squared, omega squared…” whereupon two of us in the classroom burst out with “Weatherby George Dupree…”

I’m obviously not well read enough, as that’s about the LAST thing pops into my head when say froogle.google.co.uk.
(Well it WAS, now I’ve got that line.. great, I’ll end up typing that in instead!)

otherwise known as (slightly mangled) iambic pentameter, prolly the most widely used meter in poetry (and speech)…
