A patch of grass and a couple of trees, surrounded by railings, in North London

For anyone who has seen Shaun of the Dead, this, apparently, is the place where a scene involving someone chasing a pigeon was filmed, in Crouch End, North London. The shop where the character worked is directly behind me, and other nearby locations featured in the film were also pointed out to me. I’ve not seen the film yet though so cannot be certain that they look anything like this on screen.

They do indeed (having seen it - again - only last week). You haven’t seen it yet? I’m shocked…

Whoa, simultaneous commentage!

Re #1: I know, I know. It’s in my LOVEFiLM queue [and has now been bumped from position 41 to position 1 — that’s peer pressure for you].

Re #2: Coolio Mark, we can clearly see they’re one and the same place. I was standing between the phoneboxes and the bench when I took my photo. :)
