Fuddland
I’m not really back, so don’t get too excited — just some behind-the-scenes gubbins going on. An upgrade to a spiffy Motorola V600 meant it was time to overhaul the moblog script which generates these entries, so I delved into ImageMagick’s capabilities. The phone camera can take pictures at three different resolutions — 160x120, 320x240 and 640x480 — so the script now decides whether it needs to produce a separate thumbnail image as well as the original photo; it also checks that the original isn’t too big [as specified by user-set maximum heights and widths] and resizes as required.
Whilst I was at it, I had a little rethink, and decided to integrate the Moblog with the main Weblog, creating a “moblog” category for the old and future entries and redirecting the recent moblog entries page to the new [dynamically generated] moblog category page.
Oh, and I’m loving the Bluetoothiness of my phone! Right, back to the hiatussing…
