Fuddland

A fun weekend meeting up with people I’d not seen for between five and three years, mostly consisting of “Whatever happened to…?”- and “Do you remember when we…?”-type conversations, with the notable exception of a chat I had with the girlfriend of one of these old friends.

We were drunkenly extolling the virtues of Radio 4—basically listing all our favourite shows—and after she mentioned The Archers she went on a little rant about how terrible the new Brian Eno remix of the theme-tune is. She was genuinely surprised—and I think a little embarrassed—when I told her that was just an April Fool’s Day joke [luckily bsag had primed me earlier in the week].
