Aha! That’s what it was for. I spotted it earlier and made a mental note to ask David about it: “He’s Captain Fractal, he’ll know”. You beat me to it.

Eagle eyes? I’m like action man. Does he still have eagle eyes? He appears to have changed somewhat since I were a lad. Back in my day…etc…

Re #1: Captain Fractal eh? Damn, my secret identity is out! ;)
I’d just like to point out that I didn’t already know it was his birthday — I had a hunch and it checked out [actually my first thought was it was Mandelbrot’s birthday, and then I tried Julia]. I don’t have all the famous mathematicians’ birthdays memorised or anything. Honest.
But now I know Julia spent the majority of his life without a nose, which I’m sure will be useful trivia at a later date.

Re #2: I dismantled my Action Man to find out what made him speak when I pulled his cord [it was a kind of record player: when you pulled the cord, the motor wound up, which spun a small plastic disc with grooves and bumps, connected to a rudimentary loudspeaker. It was pretty interesting stuff to a six-year-old]. But I probably wouldn’t do that to you.
Do you have a thing on your neck that makes your eyes move side-to-side?

I can’t find anything on my neck, but I am wearing blue pants and my head is shaved, so I’m not ruling it out yet.

Re #5: Any questions about Graeme’s anatomical correctness should be emailed directly to him. I don’t wish to know.

The lonely hearts ad writes itself:
“Eagle Eyes” seeks “Barbie” for plastic fun. GSOH (as there’s nothing else on offer) required.

This is why I’m single isn’t it?

Re #7 & #8: At least you didn’t use the phrase “pull my cord” — there’s hope for you yet. :P

I wanted to though.
