Some things I have accomplished this evening:
Killed a housefly with my computer keyboard
Chosen to ignore Microsoft’s advice about dealing with maliciously spoofed links:
The most effective step that you can take to help protect yourself from malicious hyperlinks is not to click them. Rather, type the URL of your intended destination in the address bar yourself. By manually typing the URL in the address bar, you can verify the information that Internet Explorer uses to access the destination Web site. To do so, type the URL in the Address bar, and then press ENTER.

Re-organised my links slightly
Told myself to look twice before inserting my card into a cash machine.
A team of organized criminals is installing equipment on legitimate bank ATMs in at least 2 regions to steal both the ATM card number and the PIN. The team sits nearby in a car receiving the information transmitted wirelessly over weekends and evenings from equipment they install on the front of the ATM.

Wished someone special a very happy birthday [about a thousand times]
However, I utterly failed to read, without laughing, about the dead whale exploding over a bunch of people whilst being transported to a research centre. Schadenfreude is a very powerful emotion.

Killed a housefly with your keyboard … bad karma … you will now return to Earth as Lionel Blair’s tightest trousers.

Re #1: It was a mercy killing — it was obviously very alone, hatching in the middle of winter it had no friends and had been flying aimless around my house for a few days. It didn’t even put up much of a fight.
