Fuddland
A troubled-free journey, save for some nerve-jangling collecting my baggage at Chicago just thirty minutes before my connecting flight was due to depart. Note to O’Hare airport: displaying “Departs: 8.25pm — Now: 8.35pm” will lead me to think the current time is 8.35pm and I’ve missed my flight by ten minutes, causing some mild internal swearing before realising you mean the flight has been delayed by ten minutes.
Still, I’ve made it to my destination, am well-rested and about to be served a yummy American breakfast of waffles and maple syrup. It’s bright and sunny outside, which means an exploratory walk is in the offing [after just one more cup of tea].
